As You Make Your Bed so You Must Lie in it.

As you make your bed so you must lie in it.
The story is told of a man who was given the job to build a house. This man received enough money to build a home with the best quality material but instead he used the cheapest. Upon completion of the home he was told that he could have the home he built as a wedding gift. He was shocked instead of being joyful when he heard this news. Be a person of excellency at all times. What you sow you surely will reap. You are responsible for the consequences of your actions be they good or bad.

2015 Year of Triple Favor

Psalm 65:11
You crown the year with your goodness; your footsteps drop prosperity behind them.

Be Thankful

Count your blessings name them one by one and you wuill be surprised what God has done.

Deuteronomy 28:47-48

Because you did not serve the LORD your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity,  therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the LORD sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

To be blessed you must have a heart of gratitude. Let the new year be a year of thankfulness.

Age is Just a Number

Psalm 103:1-5

 Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
 who forgives all your sins
    and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Know When to Speak and When to Remain Silent.

Eclesiastes 3:7

There is a time to keep silence, and there is a time to speak.

Many times it is wise to refrain from speaking while on the other hand it is worthy and necessary to speak. Be wise and know the difference.

A Little Learning is a Dangerous Thing.

It may be safer not to learn something at all than to half-learn it. Don't be like the wasp. Be like the bee.

My dad once told me a story about the wasp and the bee. It's funny but much insight can be glean from it.
"Once there was a wasp and  a bee. Both went to school because they wanted to learn how to make honey. First the teacher taught them how to make a nest. Both were very
excited. The wasp thought that he had no need to complete his course. So he flew away and got very busy making his nest everywhere he went. The bee remained in school and learned how to make honey. Both are very busy. The bee is busy making honey while the wasp is busy making nest and stinging people."
Complete your course before trying to implement what you have not completed. You might hurt or mislead yourself and others.
